11/11/09: Peppero day! (Also known as Veterans Day)
I'm totally kidding haha. I think it's a great idea to have a day to honor those that fell in war, defending it to the death. Death seems to bring everyone together somehow. It's the one thing everyone agrees to hate. Wow. I woke up at 11 a.m. feeling so so refreshed after my 17 hour sleep. Oh my goodness. Knocking out after studying all night feels GREAT. The rest of the day was quite uneventful. Songwriting class was fun again. It's going to be one of the classes I'm going to miss the most next semester. After class was over and stuff, I went to Recomm, which is always great. :) I love my Recomm family. :) Then we got some coffee and yogurt for dessert. Yums. I got back and I ended up sitting down with one of my roommates to talk to him about theology and share about our spiritual walks. It was really blessing and we agreed that we should try to do it with the rest of our roommates as well. One of my other roommates walked in on us talking and he talked with us for a bit too. It was really good to get some spiritual accountability with my roommates. I mean, we freaking live together. This is something we can work on and build. I want to end the year with more than just roommates. I want to end the year with brothers. :) In other news, I enjoy talking about theology. It interests me.
Things I need to work on: Building biblical brotherhood and, in the process, build biblical manhood.
11/12/09: My little brother's birthday
Hm. My little brother's birthday... I decided to text him happy birthday and ask him what he wanted. He replied, "Take me shopping. :)" -_- Wow. Why can't he ask for something? In that sense, why can't everyone just tell me something specific? I mean. For myself, when I ask someone what they want and they answer honestly, I will try that much harder to get that person what they want, even spending more money and effort (as long as it's within reasonable bounds of course) just so I can please them. So when I ask you what you would like for your birthday, tell me. You'll get a better present. I promise. Giving gifts is definitely not one of my love languages... I visited UCLA with Patrick tonight and it was fun. I met up with peoples and we shared some laughs. I'm going to take an individual instruction course for guitar next semester but I don't know if I should take instruction for bass or for guitar... Hm... I'm going to ask praise team. Speaking of praise team, I'm super excited for praise practice this week. I look forward to them eagerly. :) I HAVE SO MUCH STUFF TO DO!!
Things to work on: GET STUFF DONE.
Have I ever told you that you make me smile, Kevin? :] I'm glad you had fun at UCLA! I'm jealous-- I want to eat Grace's cooking, too!! >:[
