11/05/09: Weird dream!
I had such a weird dream last night. Like always, it was like a movie. There were two scientists, one Asian and one white, who were working together on a project. They happened to accidentally discover a parallel "mirror-verse" in which everything is a mirror of our current universe. After testing it out for themselves, they decide that it's a wonderful place and to bring their family over to visit during a vacation. The night they were all planning to leave, the white scientist receives an ominous message in the form of a vision and a materializing letter that claims that they must only stay in the parallel universe for a maximum of one week, otherwise their existence in our universe will disappear and cause a huge hole that could potentially swallow our universe into nothing-ness. The white scientist is obviously shaken up but the Asian scientist, having not been the recipient of the vision is understandably skeptical about his friend's premonition but promises to keep it in his head. The white scientist decides to have the wormhole open up again at exactly six days so as not to risk anything. Did I mention I'm the eldest son of the Asian scientist's family? I don't know why but I guess my mind wanted to put me in it in some way. So we suit up for mirror-verse travel which equals heavy winter clothes coupled with a weird looking aluminum foil helmet. The winter clothes were because mirror-verse travel induced near-freezing temperatures. We were also using metal tongs, like the ones for grilling meat, to hold a large sheet of aluminum foil between the tongs. Apparently the aluminum foil protected our bodies from being torn apart by the power of the portal. Holding the aluminum foil in front of us with the tongs created a small gap within the portal that we could jump through. So we all travel to the mirror-verse and meet our mirror-selves in our mirror-homes and have a lot of fun but when the wormhole reappears on the sixth day, it is discovered by a lot of other people in the mirror-verse town because, for some reason, the portal reopens in a museum. And when the two families get there to go through the portal again, the Asian scientist declares that his family is going to stay because he loves the life there and feels like he's found a best friend in his mirror-self (I don't want to go into detail of the middle portion of this story because that would take forever). The eldest son declares that he's going back with the white guy's family because he believes the white scientist, earning him more brownie points with the white guy's hot daughter (they've been slowly cultivating a relationship since the beginning, the details of which would take too long to write down). The white guy has four kids, by the way: eldest daughter with one younger brother, and youngest twin sisters. So now the two guys start arguing with each other and everyone is just waiting. People in the museum are staring at the weird people in winter clothes standing together. So this whole time I'm waiting for this dream to come to a conclusion but all of a sudden my stupid alarm goes off and I wake up and now I have no idea how all this ends. Lame.
I totally failed in my media fast today. I really need to watch myself and make sure I don't get complacent. I'm considering extending the time I'm doing this because I've seen an overall positive change taking place in my life through it. God is using it to mature me even more. Keep praying for me few people who still read my blog!
Things I need to work on: Conclusions.

11/06/09: Leaders' meeting and a movie
Alrighty. So today was leaders' meeing. I thought I had plans to hang out with Rachel before the meeting but she ditched me so I went to meeting alone. I got to read some more of Numbers though so that was nice. I'm currently very worried about Joseph, Ann, and Jennifer. I heard Joseph got into a car accident and didn't come to leaders' meeting. Ann and Jennifer came but I saw them later and they looked like they were crying... I'm really worried about them. I tried calling some of them but no one picked up their phone. Gah. Hopefully Joseph comes to D.T. tomorrow morning so I can talk to him. The committee leaders got a lot done in Christmas Banquet planning so that was good. I'm excited. Christmas Banquet was pretty darn fun last year and I hope it'll be good this year too. Plus it's an excuse to dress up haha. I went to watch Disney's A Christmas Carol in 3D with Ashley Lee and Eunice Lee SC after the meeting. Wow. NOT what we were expecting at ALL. It was freaking scary. And on top of everything it was PG. Holy cow, it's scary what is considered suitable for kids nowadays. Other than that it was a fun experience. I'm garnering more interest in Richard Dawkins. What can make a man reject God so vehemently? I'm going to look into his books: The God Delusion and The Greatest Show on Earth. People have been expressing some fear at the fact that I'm reading these books but I'll try to read them prayerfully.
Thing I need to work on: I'm still quite sad at my lack of a consistent prayer life. Prayer definitely has power and I want God's wonderful gift for mankind that is prayer. Please pray that I can pray! (lol)
